Zrće Beach is one of the most famous beaches on the Croatian island of Pag: a pebble crescent with spectacular views of green mountains and a crystal clear blue sea that invites you for a refreshing dip.
This natural paradise could have been the ideal beach for relaxation and peace, but the beach’s history has taken a different direction. Indeed, Zrće Beach has become one of the European capitals of nightlife beach entertainment: a smaller-scale, cheaper alternative to Ibiza and Mykonos.
Discos, beach bars, theme parties, foam parties, boat parties: the nightlife on Zrće Beach encompasses all possible forms of entertainment for young people to the sounds of dance, techno, house and new music trends.
For the past decade or so, Zrće Beach has become the location of major music events such as Hideout, Sonus, Barrakud, Fresh Island Festival and Stereo Forest Festival. Some of these have become legends and considered must-see events by all fans.
Every summer, crowds of young people from all over Europe flock to Pag’s most party-packed beach – and one of the best party beaches in Croatia – to experience a holiday of unbridled fun, so why not join them this year?
Arranged in a row along the beach, with the exception of Noa, which juts out into the sea, the clubs of Zrće Beach are a non-stop succession of entertainment opportunities. It’s hard to say which are the best because they are all always packed!
The discos and beach bars in Zrće are only open regularly during the summer season; at other times of the year they are only open during special events such as Spring Break.
At the beginning and end of the season many clubs have free admission; during high season the price of admission varies from club to club, and even the same club can have different prices depending on the night. In general, the most expensive parties cost around 40 euro.
Kalypso is the historic club on Zrce Beach where 30 years ago the nightlife that has made this beach world famous began. Originally a simple sports bar on the beach, today it is a multi-level megaclub with an open-air dance floor, numerous bar areas and a circular pool with sunbeds.
A true nightlife legend, Papaya at Zrće Beach is considered one of the best open-air discos in the world.
Decorated in an exotic style, it includes not only dance floors, bars and a pool, but also a restaurant, VIP area, water slides and whirlpools. Zrće Beach’s most popular cocktail and foam parties are held here.
The club regularly hosts internationally renowned DJs who play music of the highest level, always in line with the latest trends on the world dance scene.
Aquarius is Zrce Beach’s non-stop club with 24-hour music. In the daytime it is a lively beach bar with a restaurant, in the afternoon the foam parties start in the central pool, at sunset there are aperitifs to the sound of dance music and in the evening theme parties and concerts followed by DJ sets with top international DJs.
The Aquarius has both outdoor and indoor dancefloors, plus a beautiful sea-view terrace perfect for sipping a drink and then hitting the dance floor.
Noa is the most iconic and perhaps the most glamorous of the clubs on Zrće Beach, and the only one directly on the sea. It is a huge platform on the water with dance floors, bars, gazebos and pools, and even a yacht dock.
Noa is also famous for its spectacular laser shows and 3D projectors.
The Rocks is the latest addition to the Zrće Beach clubs… but only in terms of time. Although the newest, it already has a loyal clientele and has become a popular alternative to the more famous clubs, offering the usual mix of parties, pools and loud music in a tropical setting.
The ‘newest addition’ Rocks is also one of the official Hideout festival venues.
